St. John

A few weekends ago, Normer and I traveled to St John with our good friends Lindsay and Matthew. We actually flew into St Thomas and then took a ferry boat ride over to our island. We were able to see this gorgeous sunset on the boat. We rented a tiny condo that had the most amazing view ever. Check out the rain in the distance...gorgeous! By the way, we got a new camera for Christmas and it is amazing! I'm so happy to share some quality photos with you!

This is what I saw out the window each morning:

St John is a US Virgin Island and half of it is a National Park. There are camp grounds, hiking trails and more gorgeous beaches than you can find.

Lindsay and Matthew brought their 4 month old, Elias, on the trip with us. He really lived it up on the beach.

Relaxing on the beach

Cinnamon Bay

Did I mention that it was 20 degrees in Atlanta while we were in the Caribbean? This was a MUCH better place to be!

Naptime for the little sun bather:

We visited some ruins from a Sugar Mill.

The British Virgin Islands are in the distance.

Matthew was trying hard to get the Altmix effect with the sunlight.

That baby was heavy. And he threw up on me at least once a day. But he is adorable.

Our jeep that we drove around on the island.

We hiked a 1/2 mile to a hidden beach.

The water was so clear and I saw a huge turtle while snorkeling.

St John is one of my new favorite places!

  1. Umm, I think this is the most jealous I've ever been of one of your trips. Those photos are UH-mazing. And that baby laying in the sun is one of the cutest things ever.
