What's Up Wednesday- November 2016

1) WHAT WE'RE EATING THIS WEEK:

I'm cooking our traditional Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow night. It's such a weird day because the boys will be in school and Normer will be at work but I couldn't just eat a regular ol' meal. I'm making a turkey, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, green beans, deviled eggs, rolls and a chocolate pie. Very sad to not be home with family but the boys would have missed too much school to come back. Plus we are leaving in 3 weeks to come home!

2) WHAT I'M REMINISCING ABOUT:

We celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary last week. Can not believe it has been 10 years already! Normer and I seriously have had quite the adventure in just 10 years.

3) WHAT I'M LOVING

Just being here in London. We are only scheduled to be here a year. It could change but most likely not. I really love our lifestyle here even if there are downsides. I love walking everywhere, running through beautiful parks and just being in a busy city. There is so much to see and do especially with all the Christmas festivities! These are just a few sites I passed on a walk the other day.

4) WHAT WE'VE BEEN UP TO

We finally found a church here and I have been loving getting to know some great people. I'm singing in the choir for Christmas and its been so good to make new friends.
There are so many things to see in London right now between the Christmas markets and all the festive lights everywhere. We saw the cutest toy parade last weekend on Regents Street.

We celebrated my birthday with a delicious rainbow cake from Hummingbird Bakery.

We visited the brand new Lego store and the boys almost fell apart when we leaving because they wanted to take all. of. it. home!!! Christmas is coming boys and I think it will be a Lego Christmas this year!

5) WHAT I'M DREADING

Packing....Christmas packing is going to be tough. I'm still trying to work out what we are bringing to the States and then what we have to bring back with us after Christmas.
I'm also dreading the busyness of the next 3 weeks until we leave. Nothing in itself is dreadful but being busy is!!

6) WHAT I'M WORKING ON

I have lots of clients traveling this December so following up with everyone and sending out my city guides. Would love to help you plan an amazing adventure for 2017 stacee@centurytvl.com

I am loving these pictures my clients sent me- they are in New Zealand right now and heading to Australia soon.

7) WHAT I'M EXCITED ABOUT

We are all excited about everything Christmas!! I'm looking forward to being in the States for two weeks too. :)

8) WHAT I'M WATCHING/READING

This has been a good month for shows and books!

Based on a recommendation from a friend, I picked up The Last Kingdom book series and have really liked it. Very violent (I skim most of those parts) but a great story about England's history.

I started watching Poldark. The scenery is breathtaking- I must visit some of these places filmed in this show!

Everyone is watching The Crown and we are too! Fascinating!

AND IN TWO DAYS, I WILL NOT BE LEAVING MY COMPUTER UNTIL I HEAR THOSE FINAL FOUR WORDS. :)

9) WHAT I'M LISTENING TO

Christmas songs, obviously!!

10) WHAT I'M WEARING

Layers, hats, jackets and warm FLAT booties. The weather has taken a turn for the worse here. It rains almost everyday and I live for the days that are more sunny. When I'm not in my rain coat, I'm always reaching for my wool coat.

11) WHAT I'M DOING THIS WEEKEND

We are kicking off the Christmas season with Badge's Nativity Play on Friday. Do you remember the Christmas play scene in Love Actually? I truly hope Badge's school will live up to that standard!!  He is supposed to dress like a Cowboy. :)

We are also visiting Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park! I can't wait to take the boys.

12) WHAT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH

Too much- Christmas celebrations, birthday parties, and America!

13) WHAT ELSE IS NEW

Not much!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
